Project Brief:
After hearing about how well the heaTRAY heating system has been received at Sytner Mercedes Benz in Bedford (see project page for more information), Kevin Davies of First Facilities Management was asked to install the same system at the Sytner Mercedes Benz work shop in Weston-super-Mare.
Being left without heating last winter they decided to get in quickly during the summer months so that everything is ready to go when it gets cold.
Project Solution:
A 10 way Dynamic PLC controller has been installed along with 10 heaTRAY 3.9kW units.
The system is fed by a 32A 3 phase supply and the PLC controller gives full control of each individual heater. The system can have timers set and is temperature controlled with the ability to focus the majority of the heat over the frequently occupied spaces.
Sensors will detect if the room is not occupied and after a set period of time turn off units to save energy. This extra level of control and autonomous thinking leads to excellent levels of efficiency.
We can remotely dial in to the PLC controller if help is needed to get things set up or make alterations if required.

Our honest opinion on the interRAY heaters is that they heat the space up far better than the gas warm air heaters - our technicians are much happier with this heating option and the room will stay warmer even with the roller doors in pretty constant use. They are also more environmentally friendly and the cost was a fraction of the gas equivalent works we will have needed. They are smart looking and effective heaters.
